Travelling to Vietnam

I am looking to travel to Vietnam in July this year, it will make it the fourth time I have been! you can tell when a country is great because not matter how many times you go, you still look forward to going the next time – and this is the case for me with Vietnam.
It will be part of a study tour and a requirement to going is taking out travel insurance, to be honest I pretty much never get travel insurance other that what is covered on my credit card and have never needed it before. But this time I have to take it, so I have been researching different travel insurance websites like cheapatravelinsurance.com.au and others. Overall I am surprised by how cheap travel insurance is to I am not very daunted at having to pay for it.
With travel insurance sorted out I need to consider what else I need, shots? a good book or two? get the ipod loaded up and of course the trusty laptop
Overall I can’t wait to go and escape the cold winter, fingers crossed! more to come soon on Vietnam.

Traveling abroad

It’s been some time since I have left the country and certainly as much time since I have rested my weary bones on a relaxing holiday. However, I am happy to say that the day has finally arrived. Margaret is as excited as me and we’re both looking forward to many restful days in Spain, on the villa porch, book in hand and a fresh glass of wine not too far away.
We have been going through our check list of things to do before we travel, my list is much more interesting than Magaret’s, mine includes good books, thongs, sunglasses, camera, ipod and all of the creature comforts I enjoy. Margaret on the other hand is the organiser in the house and insists on making a list of the “important” travel things, such as travel insurance, accommodation bookings, who will pick us up from the airport etc. Of course I would be lost without her
